The M.Net Asian Music Awards.

The M.net Asian Music Awards (MAMA) was held on 28th November 2010 in MACAU.
I believe many of you tuned in to Mediacorp's Channel U to watch the programme.
Or some of you might have watched it through online Streaming .

Here's what i think about the Awards.
1) As the name suggests, its supposed to be an ASIAN music Awards.
- There were not enough ASIAN artists to term the awards as an ASIAN one.
Thus i believe many people are non-agreeable to the name of the awards.
The MAMA was formerly the Korean Music Festival (KM Festival).
I would say that this MAMA awards in MACAU is a extremely good platform to
introduce the world to many artists that many have not heard of before.
But again, how many artists were there to actually introduce?

Solution:
M.net should have focused this new MAMA in Korea first, before holding overseas.
But i guess M.net wanted to prove that they really wanted to make this an ASIAN thing by holding it in another Asian country.

2) SM Entertainment "Boycotting" M.net
-In Case many of you still do not know, the Entertainment Company of SHINee,
Super Junior, Girl's Generation etc made a decision to "Boycott" M.net and all its programmes and shows after they thought that the judging system was unfair.

This is the reason why, although those mentioned IDOL Groups were nominated,
they were only placed in the Nomination List by M.net themselves.
Many fans did not bother voting for them as a result of this boycott.
That is why, none of them won any award at the MAMA.
(Though I'm quite Glad at least BOA won an award)
Which is why it would make no sense at all if SM were to send their artists over.
Morever, many artists such as Girl's Generation, Nine Muses, 2am etc
are still having their promotions on Music Programmes in Korea.
In Particular, SBS, which runs popular music show "Inkigayo"
released a statement that 'there will not be a pre-show recording for those artists who intend to attend the MAMA".

I'm wondering why if they bothered to mention Singapore,
How come singers like JJ Lin did not get invited then?
Y'know i feel that JJ Lin will do very well should he decide to debut in Korea.
He is good looking and appealing to many girls,
He looks Korean somehow, and he's got a great voice too.
He sings live and it sounds exactly like a CD recording.

So there you have it.
