Having Joy in Everything, and not Anything.

Today's Church Sermon was once again Fruitful and important for me.
The Pastor spoke of Rejoicing.
He explained at one point that if harbouring negative thoughts in your mind, you will only feel depressed.
But if you have positive thoughts in your mind, you will find that you will be happy.

Firstly, this is only logical and a person with Common Sense would know this.
But we live in a world with negative energy flying around.
Why?
This is to balance the "yin" and "yang". (Now im referring to the Taoist Teaching)

So how to be happy?
1) Focus on Yourself.

Be contented with what you have and are doing.
Accept whatever is there in front of you.
You cant change the past and present,
But you can MAKE the future.

2) Focus on others.

Now this doesnt mean sacrificing yourself on others. No.
The Pastor told of a story that happened in Korea.
A Student and his Professor were walking down a road by the Suburbs in the outskirts of Korea.
When they walked past a Field, they notice what seemed to be a pair of shoes belonging to the farmer.
The Student got cheeky and told the Professor:
"Professor, lets hide his shoes, hid behind a tree, and watch his reaction :D"
The Professor instead told him
"I have a better idea. Lets put a gold coin in each of his shoes"
So they did just that and when the farmer came back for his shoes,
he saw the gold coins in the Shoes.
The farmer immediately raised his head to the sky and gave thanks.
The Student, having seen how happy the farmer was, told the professor:
"You Know Professor, i have learnt a valuable lesson today.
Indeed, Giving is better then receiving.
To be able to see the smile on their faces, brings a smile on my face"

Imagine yourself walking into a room full of students (Your friends)
Would you rather walk into a room full of:
1) Depressed and restless Students.
2) Happy and Hyper Students.

Again, i have gained a valuable lesson today.
