My Aunt and Uncle told me that i had to go home on my own for they had errands to run.
After getting word form my mum that she would not be fetching my dad to the airport,
i decided to take a cab from Expo.
However, upon reaching the taxi stand,
not a cab was in sight.
'Heck, ill save the money and cab from Bishan instead"
So after making a transfer at Paya Lebar,
i alighted at Bishan.
I took the opportunity to bank in some cash.
Then i walked to the taxi stand at Bishan MRT.
My Conclusion is that,
Cabs arent exactly the fastest, easiest and most convenient mode of transport.
Take into consideration the many times you have to stand by the roadside like a total retard
before a cab finally comes 20 minutes later.
By then, the burning hot sun would have melted your cells.
When you finally manage to get a cab,
the meter starts at $2.80 and some $3.00
Thats already more then what i pay for Trains and Buses.
Not worth it.
BUT.
If anyone of you were to become a taxi driver,
did you know you can earn alot?
Say i fetch 3 customers an hour.
and each of them earns me an average of $10
if i start work at 8am and end at 6pm, that means 9 hours, including an hour of lunch break.
If in this 9 hours i fetch 3x9 = $270,
then in 1 month i fetch 20x$270 = $5400.
Minus off the amount i pay to the Taxi Company,
I still get at least $4000?
Hey,
Good Money.
If youre good with routes,
and can sit for hours without you butt getting burned and sore,
Go Ahead.
Who said being a taxi driver is a low class job?
There's a cabby living in my Condo.
